On April 4th (local time), the group Seventeen performed as the headliner at the large music festival “Tecate Pal Norte 2025” (also known as Pal Norte), held at Fundidora Park in Monterrey, Mexico. This was the first time a K-pop artist performed at this festival.
During their one-hour set, the members performed their iconic songs such as “LOVE, MONEY, FAME,” “Left & Right,” “HOT,” and “God of Music.”
Seventeen also showcased various unit performances, including “Same Age” by Hoshi and Woozi, “Water” by the Hip Hop Team, “Rain” by the Performance Team, and “Youth Anthem” by the Vocal Team.
Local fans filled the venue and responded with Korean-language “chanting” during the hits like “HOT” and “God of Music.”
Seventeen expressed their gratitude, saying, “The global ‘Carats’ (their fandom) made this happen,” and “We will never forget this day.”
At a press conference held before the performance, they shared their excitement: “We are happy to be the first K-pop artists to join Pal Norte. It’s fun to connect and enjoy music with fans around the world, regardless of language or nationality.”
The group’s leader, S.Coups, confidently stated, “We are known for our great performances. We will show our true worth at Pal Norte,” adding, “We want to return to Mexico with a world tour next time.”
Pal Norte is one of the largest music festivals in Latin America. Seventeen joined top stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Green Day, Benson Boone, and Charli XCX as headliners this year.
The group will hold their Japan fan meeting “HOLIDAY” at Kyocera Dome Osaka on the 24th and at Saitama Super Arena on the 10th and 11th of next month.
