Girl group Aespa is showcasing a new charm by releasing the English version of their hit song ‘Whiplash’.
Their agency, SM Entertainment, announced that Aespa’s English version of ‘Whiplash’ would be released on various music platforms at 1 PM on the 27th.
Originally released in October last year as the title track of their mini-album of the same name, ‘Whiplash’ is a dance track characterized by intense bass sounds and house beats. The catchy melody and empowering lyrics, which convey the message of confidently breaking free from limitations, led the original track to reach Million Seller status for the mini-album in November 2024.
This new single includes both the English version of ‘Whiplash’ and a remix by global DJ Steve Aoki. Aoki reinterprets the distinctive vocals of Aespa members in his own style.
Aespa will perform the English version of ‘Whiplash’ live for the first time at the Billboard Women in Music 2025 awards show on March 29 (local time) in the U.S. Aespa has also been selected as the winner of the Group of the Year award at this year’s event.
