BTS member Jimin’s solo title track “Who” has received a streaming Gold certification from the Japan Record Association, as announced by his agency, BigHit Music, on the 28th.
As of February, “Who” surpassed 50 million cumulative streams, earning the Gold certification in the streaming category.
The Japan Record Association grants certifications based on cumulative stream counts, with Gold (over 50 million streams), Platinum (over 100 million), and Diamond (over 500 million) certifications.
This marks Jimin’s first time receiving a Gold certification for a solo track from the Japan Record Association. Previously, he had earned Gold certifications for his unit songs “Dimple” with Jin, V, and Jungkook, and “Friends” as a duet with V.
“Who” is an English-language hip-hop R&B track that expresses feelings of longing and confusion for someone the singer has never met. Released in July last year, it made history by staying on the US Billboard Hot 100 for 33 weeks, setting a record for the longest chart run for a K-pop song.
