The film Victory, starring Lee Byung-hun and Yoo Ah-in, is now fully entering its box office journey this weekend.
According to the integrated cinema ticketing system on the 28th, Victory claimed the top spot at the box office with approximately 60,000 viewers (51.3% share of sales) on the previous day.
The movie has maintained its position at number one for two consecutive days, following its release on the 26th.
Directed by Kim Hyung-ju, Victory depicts the story of the 1990s finals between the legendary Go master Cho Hun-hyeon (played by Lee Byung-hun) and his disciple Lee Chang-ho (played by Yoo Ah-in). The film has received positive reviews, achieving a 96% rating on the CGV Golden Egg Index, which reflects audience feedback.
As of 9 AM on the same day, Victory also leads in ticket reservations, with a 31.9% booking rate and about 80,000 pre-sale tickets.
The animated film Attack on Titan: The Final Season – The Last Attack follows closely behind with a 13.4% reservation rate and about 33,000 pre-sale tickets. The anime secured second place at the box office on the previous day, adding 14,000 viewers (13.6%) for a cumulative total of around 450,000 attendees.
